Study: What is the Bible?

How often have you thought, “I don’t even know enough about the Bible to attend a Bible study - I’d be completely lost.” What Is the Bible? is a small-group study made exactly for you. This study will help you to explore some of the best-known Bible passages and to discover some of the many ways that they can be interpreted. You will learn how the Bible as we know it was put together, who decided what parts were in and what parts were out, and where to go with your questions about the wonderful, baffling, beautiful, unsettling book we call the Bible.

Workshop: Generosity in a Changing World

Sunday, Sept. 14

11:00am - 2:00pm

This workshop, led by Rev. Andrew Warner, president of the Wisconsin Foundation, will invite participants to reflect on their own spiritual practice of giving and share information on the changing landscape of fundraising, particularly in local congregations.

Balsams Forest Retreat

Friday, Sept. 19 - Sunday, Sept 21

at Camp Balsams (Eagle River, WI)

Join friends old and new for MCC’s third annual gathering among the trees. Together we will commune with nature through the practice of Forest Bathing and with each other through food and fellowship at Camp Balsams. This retreat is led by Pastor Zayna.

Family Connection Friday

Friday, Sept. 26

5:30pm - 7:30pm

Family Connection Friday is a new opportunity for children and youth of all ages to experience faith formation alongside their trusted adults. Join for dinner and a Bible story and activity all together. Then, children and youth will continue their fellowship, activities, and games, while adults take time apart to discuss their experiences of parenting and faith with one another. We will close with a brief time of prayer to lift up our minds and hearts to God as one. All MCC members, friends, and friends of friends are welcome.
