What happens on Neighbor Day?

After an abbreviated worship service, we’ll head out into the community to engage in volunteer projects with and for our neighbors. The 2025 projects include:

Forward Garden: Harvesting produce for Madison Area Food Pantry Gardens

Pope Farm Elementary School: Preparing the grounds for the start of a new year

Back-to-School Welcome Bags: This accessible project will take place in MCC’s fellowship hall and include putting together cards and gifts for the entire staff, faculty and administration at Pope Farm Elementary School.

WayForward Resources Food Drive: Pick up and sort food donation bags (which will be distributed earlier in the week) from the Elderberry and Blackhawk Neighborhoods.

  • Free t-shirts!

  • Lunch from Holy COW Food Truck

  • Volunteer opportunities for every age and ability
