MCC’s 2027 Generosity Theme:
“There Our Hearts Will Be”
As a faith community, we turn to the stories of scripture to expand our understanding of who God is and how God shows up in the world. And we turn to the stories of our own lives as powerful reminders of how we have been shaped by the God of all creation and Christ’s church.
In November we will hear stories in worship that celebrate the times when we align ourselves and our gifts with God’s heart - There Our Hearts Will Be too for the future of ministry in and through our church. Thank you for all the ways you give...of your time, your talents, and of your financial resources. We couldn’t share in all God has for us without you!
Our 2027 Goal is to increase MCC’s total operational giving by 6% to $514,270 in 2027.
Every year during budget season, our congregation’s leadership asks if the money we save and spend matches the stories we tell about ourselves and about the radically inclusive, life-changing love of God. How our church stewards its money is a reflection of who we believe God is calling us to be. In the same way, as people of faith, what we give to God through the church is a reflection of our values.
We’re asking every member of MCC to prayerfully consider their gifts to MCC in 2027. Letting us know how you plan to align your heart and treasures in the months ahead allows our faithful leaders to plan faithfully and responsibly as we align the treasures of your heart with the work God is calling us to do together.

Heart Room, the recipient of your generous gifts to the annual Thanksgiving Offering and Fair Trade Sale, empowers and supports families so their children can grow up safe, healthy and successful in school - stable housing is the foundation of that success.
The program offers three years of generous rental assistance and individualized support for a family to meet their goals for a better future. Between 2024-2026 MCC entirely funded this program for one family - and we’re going to do it again in 2027-2029.
“It’s meant more than a lot. This is my first place on my own, I’ve been through so much, I know they [staff] went through a lot to fight for me to get the subsidy. I knew being part of the program would be hard work and I’d never had help from anybody before. But I knew that I would be okay, that they would help me keep a roof over my kid’s head.”

Faithful Service in Every Generation
This summer sixteen middle schoolers participated in MCC’s Summer Servants - a four day camp that helps our youngest community members invest their hearts in service. Together they:
Painted rocks for imaginary play and entertained kids at Gio's Garden
Toured Middleton Fire District Station and practiced extinguishing fires
Weeded corn, covered squash, released butterflies, and moved a chicken coop at Forward Garden
Built bird feeders and connected with residents at Attic Angels
Sorted food and clothing donations, and put together snack bags at WayForward Resources
