Easter is a Day of Hope

On Easter Morning we tell the story of Jesus’ resurrection and stand in the hope that love wins over fear, justice reigns, and there is always life after death.

This year MCC has added an early outdoor Easter service that will be held in the Memorial Garden (weather permitting) at 7:30 AM. It will feature acoustic guitar and include Holy Communion.

The regular 9:30 AM service will be in the sanctuary with our talented choir and trumpet accompaniment. Stick around after worship for a special fellowship hour and Easter Egg Hunt for children of all ages.

My dear friends,
we have known grief.
We have known loss.
We have known the long road, tired and winding.
We have whispered prayers on bended knees.
We have stared at the sky, empty of stars.

But today—
today we know hope.
Today we know life.
Today we know the sound of Alleluias.
Today we know that death does not have the last word.
Today we know that nothing can separate us from the love of God.

It is Easter.
