MISSION at MCC
"Then the righteous will answer him, 'Lord, when was it that we saw you hungry and gave you food, or thirsty and gave you something to drink? And when was it that we saw you a stranger and welcomed you, or naked and gave you clothing? And when was it that we saw you sick or in prison and visited you?' And the king will answer them, 'Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me.' ~Matthew 25:37-40

Our Sunday School offering for 2007-08 will go to the Heifer Project. A special collection was received on December 16 during the Christmas Pageant which brought out total 2007 donation to $1077.96.
Children got to vote on which animals to "buy", and in early January sent a donation check to Heifer for 2 goats, 2 sheep, 2 llamas, 2 trios of rabbits, a flock of chicks, a flock of ducks/geese, and tree seedlings!
This summer's "Read to Feed" program and the Used Book Sale on August 23-24 will also go to support this project.

Jamaica Mission Trip

Saint Ann Parish, Jamaica
A team of adults and youth from Middleton Community Church traveled to Saint Ann Parish on the north side of Jamaica June 16th-23rd, 2007. This was our 7th trip to the northern part of Jamaica since we began in 1993. Our next trip is planned for June 2009.
For the 2007 trip, MCC volunteers collected new or gently used summer clothing for the community or Priory All-Age School. We were also able to send boxes of childrens books and musical instruments to supplement their classrooms and library, thanks to generous donations from staff and students at Northside Elementary School and Kromrey Middle School in Middleton.
Previous mission group have helped paint walls and murals for the school building and create athletic fields at Chester School. On our last trip, volunteers help repair and replace plumbing at Priory All-Age School so that the staff and over 700 students could have working bathrooms.
