Children & Youth at MCC

Sunday Mornings

We love having kids in worship! There is a “prayer ground” in one corner of the sanctuary where kids will find coloring pages, books, and quiet toys. They are welcome to stay in the Sanctuary for the entire service. However, we also offer a nursery and Sunday School.

Each Sunday, our Nursery is open for children 3 and under.

Sunday School: 9:45 - 10:30am

Preschool, Elementary, and Middle School classes meet throughout the school year, except on Communion Sundays (typically the first Sunday of the Month) and other special occasions. Children will be invited to the front of the sanctuary for a Moment with Children and following it, they will be dismissed to their various classrooms.

Classroom break-downs are as follows:

Kinder: 4-5 year olds who have not entered 1st grade yet.

Elementary: 1st through 4th grade.

Middle School: 5th & 6th grades meet in one room, and 7th & 8th grades in another.

Please note: We do not host Sunday School for our Middle friends in June, July, or August. Kinder and Elementary meet year-round.

Confirmation is offered to students in 8th grade each year, in January-May.

We ask that all regularly attending families fill out our annual registration form:

Infants - 4th Grade Registration

5th - 12th Grade Registration

For more information regarding Faith Formation opportunities outside of worship, contact our Children’s Coordinator at amiller@middletonucc.org

Youth Group

We offer both Middle School (5th-8th grade) and High School (9th-12th grade) Youth Groups here at MCC.  Typically our Middle School friends meet on the 3rd Sunday of each month during the school year, while our High School friends meet on the 4th Sunday. Each Youth Group typically meets from 6:30 pm-8:00 pm. Friends are always welcome to join.

Each winter, we offer an opportunity for our Youth to attend a Winter Retreat at our beautiful camp near Eagle River, Wisconsin. We spend the weekend learning about a social justice topic, while also enjoying indoor games, hiking outdoors, and playing on the frozen lake.
